The Calgary Stampeders will try and keep the Saskatchewan Roughriders in their slump on Friday as the teams meet for the second time in three weeks. The Stamps are favored by 3.5 points in CFL betting predictions at BetDSI sportsbook with the total listed at 49 in this game that will be shown on TSN.
Calgary 4-2 SU, 3-3 ATS
The Stampeders are off to solid start this season at 4-2 as they trail Edmonton by just a game in the West. The Stampeders know that they can’t let up on Saskatchewan just because the Roughriders are off to a 1-5 start. "Kick 'em when they're down. Keep your foot on their throat or on the gas pedal . . . whatever cliche you want to use. It's applicable.” Said center Randy Chevrier. Calgary has lost in the playoffs in four of the past five years to Saskatchewan so they will have no trouble piling it on the Roughriders.
Saskatchewan 1-5 SU, 1-5 ATS
Nothing has gone right for the Roughriders this season and everyone in Saskatchewan is upset. The Roughriders have allowed the most points in the league and scored the fewest. They have yet to win at home and four of their losses against the CFL odds have come by double-digits. New head coach Greg Marshall is already on the hot seat. “If there needs to be a change, then we have to do it.” Team president Jim Hopson said, “What that change is, I'm not in a position to say that right now because we haven't had a chance to sit down as group and talk about where we're going,” said Hopson.
Game Notes
Calgary has won twice at Saskatchewan in the same season only once since 2001 but they are favored on Friday night. They won 22-18 on June 30th so they will be trying to get a second win in a span of only three weeks. "What happened a couple weeks ago means nothing in this game.” Calgary quarterback Henry Burris said, “We know they're going to come out with a whole lot of heat, a whole lot of fire and desire.''
