Saskatchewan and Toronto are each 1-6 so when you look at making a CFL pick on this game you have to look beyond the records. Neither team has done anything this season but there are a few things that might point to the Roughriders. They are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings in Toronto. The Argos have been awful at home as they are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 home games.
Saskatchewan would seem to have the motivation to turn things around on Thursday night. The players were very embarrassed by their first half against Calgary last week. "We stunk the joint up in the first half," Riders defensive coordinator Richie Hall said. Head coach Greg Marshall can’t figure out why his team can’t play good offense and defense at the same time. “If you have the answer to that, I would appreciate it if you tell me,” Marshall said, “We did a lot of good things offensively, but we didn’t have a good night defensively.”
Game Notes
The Roughriders have the worst statistical numbers on offense and on defense but guess which team is right behind them? That’s right, it is the Argonauts. The matchup really comes down to whether you think Saskatchewan will show some pride before they head into their bye week. Getting three points definitely looks appealing considering Toronto has been awful at home and very poor in this series.
Looking at the total in CFL betting we find that the Under is 4-1 in the Roughriders last 5 games overall and the Under is 41-18 in the Roughriders last 59 road games. The Over is 5-0 in the Argonauts last 5 games overall. In this series, the Under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Toronto.
