Cadel Evans became the first Australian to ever win the Tour de France as he won cycling’s biggest event. He also was one of the oldest winners at 34 years old. He is the oldest winner of the premier race in cycling betting since World War II.

The Tour de France title is up for grabs after Andy Schleck won the 18th stage to get within striking range of leader Thomas Voeckler. Schleck started the 18th stage in fourth place but his win got him within 15 second of Voeckler for the yellow jersey.
