Kell Brook vs. Kevin Bizier Odds and Predictions
Monday, March 21st, 2016By Tom Wilkinson
Boxing Odds: Kell Brook is a big favorite to defeat Kevin Bizier on Saturday, March 26th in Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Brook will be defending his IBF welterweight title for the third time since he won it against Shawn Porter in 2014. Brook would like to be facing a big name fighter but instead must avoid overlooking Bizier in this bout on Saturday at the Sheffield Arena.
Let’s look at the fight, boxing odds and boxing predictions.
Brook Trying to Avoid Looking Ahead
The biggest danger for Brook on Saturday in his home city of Sheffield will be looking ahead to a bigger fight against someone like Danny Garcia, Timothy Bradley, Jessie Vargas or Amir Khan. “It is a case of anyone, anytime, anywhere.” Brook said, “We were very close to getting the fight the world has been waiting for, with me and that kid from Bolton [Khan], but that’s not going to happen this summer. I’m not taking anything away from Kevin Bizier, but he is not an A-class fighter in my eyes.” Brook comes into this bout with a record of 35-0 with 24 knockouts. He beat Shawn Porter in 2014 for the IBF title and has since defended the title twice, beating Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin. “This is my hometown, my arena and my fans -- no one packs an arena like I do here with those great fans, and I am going to make sure that my return to this place is going to be stylish.” Brook said, “He's getting in with the best and he's got his work cut out.”
Bizier Looking to Get Inside
Bizier comes into this fight with a record of 25-2 with 17 knockouts. He realizes that to beat Brook he has to get inside. "To win rounds and spoil Brook's party, I'll have to apply constant pressure to him and get in his face. “Bizier said, “I've worked a lot on my inside work as I cannot stay at the end of his jab. Brook is a big hitter who manages distance well, I'll have to get into the pocket. Boxing inside will give me a better chance to win.” Bizier has lost just twice in his career but both of those losses came to Jo Jo Dan who Brook beat in four rounds.
Brook should win this fight but the price is extremely high. Playing the rounds option would be a better value bet so I will go under the total.
