Hank Lundy vs. Terence Crawford Odds and Picks
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016By Tom Wilkinson
Boxing Odds: Terence Crawford is a huge favorite to defeat Hank Lundy on Saturday night, February 27th in a bout that can be seen on HBO. This fight that takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York will see Crawford defending his WBO super lightweight title. Crawford enters the fight unbeaten with a record of 27-0 with 19 knockouts while Lundy is 26-5-1 with 13 knockouts.
Here is a look at the bout and boxing picks.
Crawford Expects to Shut Up Lundy
There has been a lot of talk from Lundy leading up to this fight and Crawford has heard enough. "Lundy runs his mouth too much—too much," said Crawford, "He wanna talk about hammering somebody, but he's the one that's gonna get hammered." Crawford has won all 27 of his previous bouts with 19 of those wins coming by knockout. Crawford will be fighting at 140 pounds for the third time with previous wins over Thomas Dulorme and Dierry Jean. Crawford has shown very few weaknesses in his previous bouts although his level of competition has been pretty weak.
Lundy Talking Big
Lundy is just 4-4 in his last eight fights with losses to Rey Beltran, Viktor Postol, Thomas Dulorme, and Mauricio Herrera but none of the losses were bad losses as he lost by majority decision, split decision, a disputed technical decision, and a close unanimous decision. Lundy puts everything into his efforts which means he leaves himself open to get hit but he believes he can beat Crawford. “I guarantee that in this fight, you’re going to see him get exposed,” Lundy promised. “Everybody put him up on a pedestal.
When you think about it, I can do it all. Southpaw, right handed, banging, on the right hand side, on the left hand side. I’ve been in there with every style there is, and I can fight every style there is. So really, I have a big advantage. They might not feel so, but I do. On fight night, you will see.”
The price on Crawford is insanely high but Lundy really hasn’t shown he can beat a top fighter. I will avoid picking a side and just take the rounds under.
