    Boxing Betting - Lucian Bute

Unbeaten Lucian Bute will look to improve his record to 30-0 as he takes on Glen Johnson on Saturday night at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Canada. Bute is a huge favorite in boxing odds at BetDSI Sportsbook for this fight that can be seen on Showtime.

Lucian Bute -1050 vs. Glen Johnson

This battle for the IBF super middleweight title should be fun to watch for as long as it lasts. Bute has 24 knockouts his career while Johnson has 35. Bute is considered one of the best in the super middleweight division and he could get the knockout against Johnson. In title fights, Johnson is just 2-6-1 in his career. He is 2-4-1 in his career against unbeaten fighters. That doesn’t mean Johnson is not a good fighter because he is. But he is not a great fighter and rarely does a good fighter beat a great fighter. Johnson is 42 years old and while he is tough, his best days are behind him.

The only way that Bute loses this fight is if the is totally unprepared and that seems unlikely. Johnson and Bute were sparring a couple of years ago so they are not totally unfamiliar with each other. “It was hard sparring, we wanted to win every day,” Bute said, “It was competitive, it was great, and I think I improved and proved my confidence after sparring with Glen Johnson.” It is hard to make a case for the big underdog in this fight in boxing betting odds. Johnson has some power but Bute has more skill and equal power. Normally you would think that Bute would win this by knockout and that may indeed happen, but Johnson has only lost once by knockout in his career. Johnson has a lot of respect for Bute saying that Bute is a great fighter who has a lot of talent and skills. He may have even more respect after this fight is over.

This fight will be shown on Showtime on Saturday night along with the bout between Robert Stieglitz against Mikkel Kessler from Copenhagen, Denmark.
