Alfredo Angulo vs Saul Alvarez odds

Boxing Betting: The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada is the site for Saturday’s light middleweight bout between Alfredo Angulo and Saul Alvarez. This all-Mexican clash can be seen on Showtime Pay-Per-View with Alvarez the big favorite. Alvarez comes in with a record of 42-1-1 with 30 knockouts while Angulo is 22-3 with 18 knockouts. This fight has the potential to be a really good one as both fighters have good knockout power having combined for 48 knockouts in their careers.

Here is a look at the fight and the boxing odds at Diamond sportsbook.

Saul Alvarez -865 vs. Alfredo Angulo

The odds heavily favor Alvarez to win this bout on Saturday night. Alvarez has been beaten just once but that loss was to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in September. After the loss to Mayweather Jr. some people are now questioning whether Alvarez is really that good or whether his record was built on beating a bunch of no-name fighters.

    Angulo Looking for the Upset

Angulo said recently that he believes an upset can happen in this fight on Saturday. "I have noticed (the upsets), but that's the beautiful thing about boxing. It goes to show that you can be the best fighter in the world," Angulo said, “God-willing, it's going to be that way. That's what I want and that's what I'm working for, and hopefully, it will happen that way." Angulo was beaten last time out as he lost to Erislandy Lara but it is Angulo and not Lara who is getting this chance against Alvarez. Angulo said he has earned his spot. "I won my spot through my hard work, and my style of fighting. I've always given 100 percent up in that ring, and I've given it my all. So I kind of feel that I won my spot and that there is a reason why I'm in this fight."

    Boxing Picks

The boxing betting line on this fight is extremely high; perhaps too high. Angulo is not without a chance as he has the power to hurt Alvarez. He also could get hurt. I am tempted to take a shot with the big underdog but instead I will play the rounds under.
