Women’s Basketball Odds - Tuesday’s WNBA Includes Seattle Storm vs Phoenix Mercury on ESPN 2
Friday, August 2nd, 2013By Jim Sanders
Women’s Basketball Odds: The Phoenix Mercury hosts the Seattle Storm on Tuesday night in a game that can be seen on ESPN 2. The two teams are battling for third place in the Western Conference. It was expected that the Phoenix Mercury would be contenders for the WNBA title this season but they haven’t been much more than a .500 team. There are four other games on Tuesday in the WNBA with the Washington Mystics at the New York Liberty, the Los Angeles Sparks at the Connecticut Sun, the Indiana Fever at the Chicago Sky and the Minnesota Lynx at the San Antonio Silver Stars.
Here is a look at all five games and WNBA predictions.
Tuesday, August 6th
Seattle Storm at Phoenix Mercury (ESPN 2)
These two teams just played on Thursday in Seattle but it is not a home and home because each team played a game over the weekend. This series has actually been controlled by the Seattle Storm of late. They had taken 7 of the last 10 both straight up and against the spread before Thursday’s contest. I will take the points with the road team in this game.
Washington Mystics at New York Liberty
The New York Liberty have won 8 of the last 10 at home in this series. The New York Liberty will also be the more rested team so I will lay the small number and take the home team.
Los Angeles Sparks at Connecticut Sun
The Connecticut Sun are having a poor season but it is hard to trust the Los Angeles Sparks on the road. I will instead take the game over the women’s basketball odds.
Indiana Fever at Chicago Sky
The Indiana Fever have actually won and covered 7 of the last 10 in Chicago but I can’t go against the top team in the East. I will just take the game over the total.
Minnesota Lynx at San Antonio Silver StarsThese teams have split their last ten both straight up and against the spread in San Antonio. I will take the points with the home team in this game at the BetDSI sportsbook.
