WNBA Basketball Odds and Predictions Including NY at San Antonio
Monday, September 17th, 2012By Jim Sanders
A pair of televised games highlights Tuesday’s WNBA action. Here is a look at all of Tuesday and Wednesday’s games including New York at San Antonio on ESPN 2.
Tuesday, September 18th
New York at San Antonio (ESPN 2) – The New York Liberty visits the San Antonio Silver Stars in a game that can be seen on ESPN 2. The Silver Stars are coming off a shocking home loss on Sunday to Tulsa so they should be fired up and ready to go for this game against New York. The Silver Stars have actually been a better bet on the road than at home as they are 12-4 ATS in road games while they are 8-6 ATS at home. New York has a losing record both straight up and against the spread on the road. I will lay the points at the online sportsbook and take San Antonio in this one.
Chicago at Seattle
This could be a low scoring game on Tuesday night with the Storm coming into the contest with the number one ranked defense in the league. I will go under the basketball odds with the Sky and Storm.
Phoenix at Los Angeles (NBA-TV)
This should be a rout as the Mercury have pretty much quit on the season. They had a brief glimpse of hope when Diana Taurasi came back from injury but she is hurt again and it is all over for Phoenix. Los Angeles has been very good at home this season going 10-4-1 ATS. I will lay the points with the Sparks.
Wednesday, September 19th
Indiana at Connecticut
The best game of the four games on Tuesday and Wednesday is actually this one between the Fever and Sun. These are the top two teams in the East and it should be an excellent contest. This is the game that NBA-TV should be doing instead of the mismatch in L.A. on Tuesday night. The Sun have an excellent straight up record but they have not been good against the spread, particularly at home where they are just 4-10 against the basketball odds. I will take the Fever plus the points in this game.
