Philadelphia 76ers at Memphis Grizzlies NBA Betting Odds

  The Philadelphia 76ers have a better record than the Memphis Grizzlies this season but they will be underdogs in NBA betting odds on Tuesday night. The Grizzlies have been solid at home this season and they have won three of the last four meetings against Philadelphia.

  76ers are for Real

  Philadelphia was not thought of as a playoff team coming into the season but there is no question now that the 76ers are for real. They are ranked in the Top 5 in the NBA in total defense and they are just outside the Top 10 in offense. Doug Collins is doing a great job with this young team and they usually have a chance to win every night. They also have been very good against the NBA pointspread at the sportsbook. The 76ers are a very balanced team with a number of players averaging double-digits in points including leading scorer Louis Williams and All-Star Andre Iguodala. We know that the 76ers play great defense but a weird trend has them going over more often on the road.

  Memphis Hanging Around

  With a shortened schedule this season the Grizzlies don’t have too much time to fix some of their problems. Memphis is hanging around the .500 mark this season and that is not going to be enough to make the playoffs. Memphis has the talent but sometimes it doesn’t show up. Rudy Gay and Marc Gasol are good players but there just seems to be something missing with the Grizzlies and any team that has O.J. Mayo on it is going to be inconsistent. The Grizzlies have been pretty good on defense as they rank in the Top 10 in fewest points allowed but far too often the team struggles to score.

  The 76ers have won six of the last ten in this series and they have split the last ten games in Memphis. The last three meetings in Memphis between the two teams have gone over the total.
