NBA Betting - Celtics vs Lakers

Two of the most storied franchises in the NBA renew their rivalry on Thursday night as the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Boston Celtics. The game can be seen on TNT with the Celtics favored in online NBA odds at BetDSI Sportsbook.

    Live NBA Betting

This matchup on Thursday night will include live betting at our sportsbook. It should be an exciting game with Kobe Bryant and the Lakers trying to get a road win against the Celtics. For the full schedule of games available for live betting be sure and read the BetDSI Blog.

    Lakers 14-11 SU, 11-14 ATS

The Lakers are in the midst of their Emmy road trip and so far the trip hasn’t gone that well as they have lost two of three. The Lakers are 3-8 overall on the road and they simply are not a great team. Los Angeles still has Kobe Bryant and they play good defense but they are not a championship contender right now. Kobe did pass Shaquille O’Neal for fifth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list on Monday but his efforts were still not enough to get the Lakers a win at Philadelphia.

    Celtics Rolling

The people that wrote Boston off this season did it too soon as the Celtics have the look of a title contender again. The Celtics went into Tuesday’s game against Charlotte having won eight of their last nine so they will likely have won nine of ten coming into Thursday’s game.

    Game Trends

The Lakers and Celtics have split their last ten meetings overall with six of the last seven going under the total. The Celtics have won six of the last ten at home against the Lakers with the last five games going under the online NBA odds.

    NBA Picks

It is tough to pick a side on this game but we do like the total. The Lakers are not scoring many points and play solid defense and the same thing can be said about Boston. The Celtics have only allowed one of their last eleven opponents to score more than 90 points. We’ll take Thursday’s game between the Lakers and Celtics under the total.
