This is not the same Los Angeles Lakers team we have seen in the past. This year’s team is coached by Mike Brown and he stresses defense. The Lakers have been in the top five in the league in fewest points allowed for most of this season. And for the Lakers to make a mark and win the NBA title this season they will be doing it on the defensive end. Kobe Bryant is still a great scorer but the Lakers are really just three deep in scoring with Kobe, Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol.
