Dallas Mavericks at Philadelphia 76ers NBA Odds

    Both teams have good marks against the spread for this contest on Friday and both teams are playing well. That makes for a great matchup on ESPN. The Mavericks are finally starting to play well and it is because they are now playing defense. Before Wednesday’s game against Denver, the Mavericks had not allowed an opposing team to score 100 points in the previous eight games. Dallas has moved into the top 10 in the league in total defense. The 76ers are even a better defensive team as they are 2nd in the league in fewest points allowed. Jason Terry averaged 21.5 points to lead the Mavericks against the 76ers last season while Dirk Nowitzki averaged 19 points per game. In this series, the 76ers have scored more than 100 points just once in the last eleven games against Dallas. The last three meetings in this series have gone under the total. At Philadelphia, the last four meetings have gone under.
