The Bulls are one of those teams that some people have making the NCAA Tournament while others believe they need a few more wins. It is hard to see a team with a winning record in the Big East missing out though especially if the Bulls get to 10 conference wins. South Florida is a very good defensive team as they are in the Top 15 in the country and they are normally in every game.
Pittsburgh Needs to Win Out
The Panthers were just 4-9 in the Big East before Thursday’s game against West Virginia. Maybe if the Panthers can win out and then win a few games in the Big East tournament they could make the NCAA Tournament. That is the optimistic view. The realistic view is that Pittsburgh is not going to make the big dance this season. Pittsburgh still has road games at Louisville and Connecticut and they probably won’t win either of those games. The Panthers simply don’t do anything really well as their offense is below average and their defense is awful.
South Florida-Pittsburgh Trends
The Panthers have won five of the last eight in the series against South Florida but they are just 3-5 against the college basketball odds. The last three meetings have all gone under the total. Pittsburgh has won three of their last four at home against South Florida but they are just 1-3 ATS.
College Basketball Predictions
This looks like a really good parlay of South Florida and the under. The Bulls will probably be road underdogs in this game at Pittsburgh and they way they play defense it should be a low scoring contest.
