NCAA Basketball Odds for Game Between Louisville vs Cincinnati

If history is any indication, Thursday’s matchup between Louisville and Cincinnati should be tight and low scoring. Louisville has won six of the last ten meetings with the last three going under the NCAA basketball odds. Let’s take a closer look at this game that can be seen on ESPN.

Louisville has actually been a better team to bet on the road this season than at home. Before their game at DePaul, the Cardinals were 6-2 ATS in road games this season. Louisville has been averaging just over 71 points per game this season and giving up about 62 points per game so they don’t win by big margins that often. That is one reason why Louisville has been a better team against the number on the road.

    Cincinnati Needs a Marquee Win

The Bearcats may end up making the NCAA Tournament but they could sure use a marquee win to help their cause. Cincinnati is one of those teams that has beaten up on the weaker teams and struggled with good teams. A home win against Louisville would really help. The problem for bettors is that it is tough to take Cincinnati at home as they have been awful against the college basketball betting pointspread in home games. What has been happening though is that the Bearcats are going under the total at home.

Cincinnati is scoring just about 70 points per game this season and allowing just about 61 per game. Those are almost identical numbers to Louisville but the Bearcats don’t get as much respect from the oddsmakers. That makes sense though considering how much Cincinnati has struggled laying points at home.

Series Trends & College Basketball Pick

Cincinnati has won six of the last ten at home against Louisville with seven of those ten games going under the NCAA basketball odds. It is tough to pick a side in this one but the total looks like a good play. We’ll expect another tight defensive struggle and take the Cardinals and Bearcats under.
