College Basketball Betting - Ohio State

First place in the Big 10 is on the line on Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio as the 3rd-ranked Buckeyes host the 12th-ranked Michigan State Spartans. The game can be seen on ESPN and it should be an exciting one for making college basketball picks.

    Live Betting

This game will include live in-game betting at BetDSI Sportsbook. The Buckeyes are favored but the Spartans should get some action from bettors in this contest.

Michigan State 19-5 SU, 14-7 ATS

The Spartans have been a good team for bettors this season as they are 14-7 against the spread. Michigan State plays solid defense and they get enough scoring to cover the number more often than not. Draymond Green leads the team in scoring and he will be a major player in Sunday’s game. The Spartans are 8-3 in the Big 10, a game behind Ohio State in the standings. Saturday’s game is huge for the Spartans in the Big 10 race. "It's not really much to explain, everyone knows how big this game is for us and them," Green said. "It's going to be big and it's going to determine a lot.” Head coach Tom Izzo knows just how big a game it is. "I'm sure that place (Value City Arena) will be hopping and rocking, and this is why you play. This is why you come to places like this, to be this time of year and playing for something that matters.”

Ohio State 21-3 SU, 12-7 ATS

The Buckeyes are one of the top ranked teams in the country and they have also been pretty good to bettors with 12 wins against the spread. Ohio State has been excellent at home this season going 9-3 ATS. The Buckeyes are a similar team to Michigan State as they play good defense but the advantage Ohio State has is more depth and more scoring.

    Series Trends

The Buckeyes have won six of the last ten in this series and they are also 6-4 ATS. The teams have split their last ten games at Columbus with Michigan State going 7-3 ATS. This is a tough game to call but we’ll go with the home court and take the Buckeyes in college basketball picks.
